It had already been a very memorable Hungarian GP weekend after Felipe Massa's horrific crash, and then the 2008 form book returning in the race with Mclaren and Ferrari finishing 1-2.However when Renault's suspension for the next race was annouced it was certainly a big surprise. In recent years, with Max and his cronies constantly changing the regulations to try and ‘promote’ overtaking, we have seen the teams spend millions of pounds each altering their cars from year to year in order to meet the new regulations. Added to this the money spent testing new parts to try and claw back as much performance as possible, and it kind of contradicts Max’s ideas of a cost-effective F1.
