Update on the Points System Comparisons open story

http://f1numbers.wordpress.com

As an addition to the posts I wrote on the different points systems used since 1950 and their fairness the other day, ManipeF1 has written an excellent post where he compares the greatest drivers of the sport using a normalised points scoring system here: A alternative view of points-scoring comparisons.

I think his post and the ones I have just done make excellent companions – his post is a very interesting way of looking at things!

2009 In Review – Fuel Usage Data open story

http://f1numbers.wordpress.com

Quite a while ago I analysed the fuel consumption in the races over the season so far to see whether the fuel consumption figures quoted by the F1 Yearbook were correct. At the time, I found that the F1 Yearbook figures were overestimating the stint lengths by about one lap on average. So, now it’s time to revisit these figures.

Thursday Thoughts - What F1 Needs For Christmas open story

http://f1numbers.wordpress.com

It’s my turn to choose the topic for this week’s ‘Thursday Thoughts’ question – a blog series started by Sidepodcast and I chose to ask “What do you want to get F1 for Christmas and why?”

The reason I asked this is because I think Christmas is a time of giving and sharing – and with such a rollercoaster year in the sport, I think there are a few people in F1 that could do with some Christmas cheer!

What is this?

F1Community.org is a content management system to discover and share Formula One news.

At this moment, the most important stories in F1 are scattered across hundreds of news sites and blogs. That's far too much for any reader to follow.

Fortunately, we aggregate and arranges all these links from different reputable sources you can trust into a single, easy-to-scan page.
