Points Systems Comparison 1950-2010 (Making Up The Numbers) open story

Recently, the Sporting Working Group met in Paris and decided to vote through some proposals that would hopefully improve the racing this year. The most important of these was a radical change to the points system, which would drastically increase the amount of points for a win and award points down to tenth place, in order to help the new teams score some points this year (From my blog 'Making Up The Numbers).

2009 In Review – Fuel Usage Data open story

Quite a while ago I analysed the fuel consumption in the races over the season so far to see whether the fuel consumption figures quoted by the F1 Yearbook were correct. At the time, I found that the F1 Yearbook figures were overestimating the stint lengths by about one lap on average. So, now it’s time to revisit these figures.
