Championship leader, Quifel-ASM Team will be amongst those entering Ginetta-Zyteks for Sunday's Autosport 1,000km of Silverstone. Its GZ09S LMP2 will be just one of six Zytek-engined cars racing in what will be the fifth and final round of the 2009 Le Mans Series.

The Team ORECA-Matmut-AIM will be back racing in the Le Mans Series in the Silverstone 1000kms, the final round of the championship. The
Signes-based outfit, which finished third in Barcelona and in the Algarve, is out to score its third podium of the season. Only one ORECA 01 will be entered for the English race.

Fresh from its incredible podium clean sweep at the ADAC Nürburgring 1000km in August, Aston Martin Racing heads to the final round of the 2009 Le Mans Series (LMS); the Autosport 1000km of Silverstone on 13 September to compete for the LMS Driver and Team titles.[...]

Despite a rather messy starting grid, with cars being positioned at the wrong grid place and therefore a slightly delayed start the spectators at Silverstone saw an interesting final round of the 2009 Le Mans Series season. With two championships yet undecided the battles throughout the field were fought out from start to finish.
